• Kilimanjaro National Park - Depart from the vibrant and colorful Moshi early in the morning for the journey to Marangu Gate, the entrance to Mount Kilimanjaro. Although it’s just an hour away, the captivating scenery will enchant you - coffee and banana plantations, passing through the charming Marangu village, with the majestic Kilimanjaro towering ahead. Registration at the Marangu Gate is essential (to ensure no one gets lost!). Your adventure is about to commence. The initial path is narrow as it meanders through the rainforest. The trek to Mandara Hut takes approximately three hours, so pause to enjoy a delightful lunch at the Hut before proceeding to the short yet challenging walk to the Maundi Crater. On a clear day, the views to the east over Taveta and northwest to Mawenzi Peak are breathtaking. Remember to bring your camera! After soaking in the scenery, descend back to the Marangu Gate, where our van will be ready to return you to Moshi, tired but thrilled.

Mount Kilimanjaro is Tanzania’s awe-inspiring icon, but you don’t have to climb it to appreciate its full splendour and the enthralling countryside surrounding it.
