Selous Game Reserve - Guests will be picked up from the airport or hotel in Dar es Salaam and driven south to Selous Game Reserve, a journey that takes approximately 5 hours.

Upon arrival, guests can unwind and soak in the new surroundings before savoring a delightful, fresh lunch in a lovely shaded area provided by the camp. There is ample time to relax for a few hours after lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat safari. The afternoon boat safari offers a fantastic opportunity to observe wildlife as they approach the water’s edge to drink, and to get close to bird colonies, hippos, crocodiles, and enjoy the breathtaking sunset.

On Safari - Selous Game Reserve

Selous Game Reserve - Following an early breakfast, guests will set off for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the Selous Game Reserve, exploring the wildlife in the surrounding areas.

The park is home to Tanzania’s largest elephant population and numerous lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Commonly sighted species include bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks, and zebras.

As the day concludes, guests will return to the camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

On Safari - Selous Game Reserve

Selous Game Reserve - After an early breakfast, guests will depart for another full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the Selous Game Reserve, continuing to explore the wildlife in the surrounding areas.

The park is renowned for its large elephant population and a variety of lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Frequently seen species include bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks, and zebras.

Before the day ends, guests will return to the camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Bush Walks, Selous Game Reserve to Dar es Salaam

Selous Game Reserve - Guided bush walks offer a unique experience here, allowing guests to explore the miombo woodland environment with their guide. The walking safari provides an exciting chance to get close to the animals and is the best way to understand the complexities of the African bush.

Walking along the established trail through the African bushes offers a different perspective compared to game drives; being on foot allows for a new appreciation of the natural surroundings.

After breakfast, guests will pack their bags and bid farewell as they depart for Dar es Salaam, where they will be dropped off at their hotel or the airport.

A newly established Park is part of what is known as Selous Game Reserve. Founded in 2019 and covering over 30,000 square kilometres, now the largest National Park in Africa. The park boasts Tanzania’s largest elephant population and many lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Species commonly seen are bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks and zebras.
