Arrival is expected around lunchtime, perfect for enjoying a hearty meal at the wilderness lodge. Later in the afternoon, after lunch and a brief rest, the captain will escort guests from the lodge to the riverbank. Here, they will board a motorboat with a tent, embarking on an exciting boat safari adventure on the Rufiji River. Guests will get close to schools of hippos, spot crocodiles, and observe colorful birds and primates in the trees along the banks. Giraffes, elephants, and various antelopes often come to drink water in the evening.
After witnessing the sunset over the majestic Rufiji, guests will return to their comfortable and authentic lodge.
Full Day Game Drive In Nyerere National Park
Nyerere National Park - Guests are invited to join a full-day game drive experience from dawn till dusk. The diverse landscapes of Nyerere, including open grasslands, winding rivers, wetlands, bushland, and dense woods, provide the perfect backdrop for thrilling big game encounters.
The driver guide will assist in spotting iconic African animals such as lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, elands, and hippos across Nyerere’s varied habitats. Experience the untamed wonders of this remote gem in southern Tanzania.
Enjoy a hot bush lunch, surrounded by the raw beauty of nature, and continue the game drive. In the evening, return to the lodge, situated close to wild nature, allowing guests to experience the sounds of the African night.
Selous Game Reserve to Dar es Salaam
Selous Game Reserve - There is no better way to connect with nature than by walking through it. Early in the morning, after a steaming cup of tea or coffee, guests will depart from the lodge into the outskirts of Selous Game Reserve, guided by a local bushman and a Masai. They will share insights on everything from flora and birdlife to small and large animals.
Guests will notice and explore details that were hidden during the game drive. With a bit of luck, they might “spy on” an elephant or a giraffe! Discover and learn the secrets of the African bush; this unforgettable experience will remain with guests forever.
After the rewarding bush walk experience, return to the lodge for a late breakfast, collect lunch boxes, and the driver guide will be ready to transfer guests back to Dar es Salaam airport or sea port for their return flight or ferry to Zanzibar.
