Great experience with the greatest guide Salehe - Our guide Salehe was very helpful and full filled all of our desires. We have seen every possible animal leaving in a particular park. My wife is very demanding and even she was satisfied. On the other hand he gently nudged as to have a better experience. Overall we are very happy but Lake Manyara Park was a disappointment after 5 days of Safari.

Big 5? Mission accomplished - Geofrey is one of the most responsive and accommodating tour coordinators I’ve ever met. No matter the time of day, he always responded to our questions. Also, he allowed us to switch our trek and safari only a couple days before due to an illness. I am very grateful for his kind service and hospitality. Our guide, Salehe, and cook, Rasheed, were also great!! Salehe is extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and geography (thanks to his masters degree). He also does everything in his power to get you to see the Big 5 AND get you up close. Rasheed makes amazing meals and always has a smile on his face. Overall, great experience. Planet Lodge and the Serengeti Lodge are really nice and worth it. Camping one night was a good experience, but the lodge life was much better!

STAY AWAY FROM MERUSLPE SAFARI TRIP! - STAY AWAY FROM MERU SLPES SAFARI TRIP COMPANY. My wife and I booked a private safari trip and the company did not live up to its promises in the email. 1. They messed up our hotel reservation and we did not have a lodge reservation for our last night. The company's plan was to put us in a tent camp which we did not want in the first place. Since they could not find a decent place since it was last minute we had to look for a lodge ourselves which ruined our last day of the safari. Not only that, since we cannot travel on Saturday we had to reserve two nights (instead of one) and the company would not cover the cost but made us pay for the extra cost. 2. They wrote that there will be a private driver and a cook which was essential to us in view of our special food requirements, however, when we met with the driver, there was no cook and the company said that Was because we stay at lodges. They did not communicate it to us and had we known we would not carry our cooking pot and pan and would organize accordingly. They said the chefs at the lodges would cook for us but the company did not do anything to arrange for that and we did not have cooked food for our stay except for one night when we spoke with the chef. 3. They promised to provide binoculars and they brought tiny ones suitable for kids' play but not for the safari. After multiple requests, we got the binoculars in the last 1.5 days. 4. The safari jeep was not in very good shape and the shock absorbers were not in a good shape resulting in a very rocky ride. 5. The company promises wifi in the jeep, however, most of the time there was no wifi. We are very upset with all our dealings with this company which ruined our safari experience and brought my wife to tears. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO GO THROUGH A NIGHTMARE OF A WEEK LIKE THAT.
