Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Guests will be collected from their hotel after breakfast for a journey to Tarangire National Park.
The park is renowned for its large elephant herds and majestic baobab trees. Visitors will spend the day on game drives, observing wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and lions, along with a variety of bird species.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the afternoon, followed by an afternoon game drive, where the sunset is truly breathtaking.
After the game drive, guests will proceed to their accommodation for dinner and relaxation.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, guests will depart for Serengeti National Park, traveling through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Serengeti National Park features grassland savannah, riverine forest, and woodlands, each offering a stunning landscape. Known for its rich wildlife diversity, the park is most famous for the annual migration, a spectacular event where thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes cross the Mara River into Masai Mara, battling the river’s current and numerous crocodiles seeking an easy meal.
There will be a stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint, which, on a clear day, provides breathtaking views of the entire crater.
Continue to Naabi Gate for a lunch break, then check into the Serengeti. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon and evening game drive.
Guests will be taken to their accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Enjoy another early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park before continuing to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro was separated from Serengeti in 1959, and the resident Masai in Serengeti National Park were relocated to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where they still live today in harmony with wildlife and nature.
An optional stop at a Maasai Village is available to learn about the indigenous tribe for an additional fee.
Proceed to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, travel along the crater rim to Seneto Gate on the western side and descend into the Crater Floor on an adventurous path – what an impressive view!
The Ngorongoro Crater provides a habitat for a vast number of animals due to its reliable water supply. Animals frequently move in and out. The number of wildebeests and zebras increases during the dry season, while the numbers of elands, elephants, and waterbucks rise during the wet season. Search for the ‘Big Five‘ – buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and the black rhinoceros. The crater is one of the only two places in Tanzania where the highly threatened black rhinoceros can still be observed.
After extensive game viewing, stop for lunch in the afternoon and later proceed to your accommodation in Mto wa Mbu for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - After an early breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park for an early morning game drive.
The park’s beauty begins at the park gate, driving through lush forest, then open grassland before reaching the lake’s edge. For any wildlife enthusiast, the park is a paradise, filled with endemic species and a variety of birdlife. Expect to see animals like elephants, hippos, impalas, dik-dik, bushbucks, and, if fortunate, the famous tree-climbing lions of Manyara that have made this park world-renowned.
In the afternoon, enjoy a hot lunch. Thereafter, continue with a game drive until signing out of the park for an overnight stay at your accommodation.
Lake Eyasi
Lake Eyasi - In the southwest corner of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area lies the beautiful Lake Eyasi, a soda lake fed by the Sibiti and Baray Rivers.
Visiting Lake Eyasi offers a different type of safari experience from those familiar with other Tanzanian wilderness excursions. The region around Eyasi is home to the Hadzabe and Datoga communities, who continue their ancient lifestyle of hunting-gathering and pastoralism, respectively.
Visits to the villages provide a personal, intimate look into the daily life of these peoples. Guests may be spontaneously invited into their homes, learn about family structures, participate in traditional dances, engage in bead making with the women, join the traditional small game hunting and gathering by the Hadzabe tribesmen, make bows and arrows, and much more.
In the early evening, drive to Arusha for an overnight stay.
Materuni and Chemka Hot Springs
Materuni Waterfalls - The tour guide will pick guests up at the hotel and welcome them to the Chemka Hot Springs and Materuni tour.
Proceed to Materuni Waterfalls, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is a very impressive waterfall, one of the tallest in the area, cascading crystal clear glacier water 70cm into the basin. The beautiful path leading to the waterfalls crosses valleys and hills covered by tropical rainforests, past coffee, bananas, avocados, and tree species. A local lunch prepared by the Chagga community is available if desired.
Afterward, depart for Chemka Hot Springs. The road is bumpy, so the drive takes more than 40 minutes. During the trip, enjoy the wonderful scenery and observe authentic Tanzanian life. Guests can swim, relax, enjoy lunch, and bask in the sun.
After this adventure, as it is the last day, guests will be driven to the airport or a hotel of their choice.
