Tarangire National Park - Following a morning safari briefing and a drive of about two hours, visitors will arrive at Tarangire National Park. The park is adorned with giant baobab trees, bush savannah, and seasonal marshes, enhancing the beauty of this natural reserve. Tarangire is renowned as one of the premier locations to observe elephants up close. Additionally, the park hosts buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests, often accompanied by predators such as lions. Leopards are occasionally seen, while cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the safari jeep, the landscape and wildlife can be fully appreciated. In the late afternoon, the park visit concludes.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, the journey continues through the cooler highlands towards the eastern Serengeti. By midday, the plains of Serengeti National Park are reached. This is Tanzania’s largest park, featuring a variety of habitats and landscapes, including short grass plains, savannah, dense bush, swamps, and lakes. Unique rock formations known as kopjes are scattered across the grassy terrain. Predators are frequently observed here. The Serengeti is renowned for the annual migration, where vast numbers of wildebeests and zebras travel in search of fresh grass and water.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro National Park

Ngorongoro Crater - The morning is spent on game drives in the Serengeti. At noon, the journey proceeds to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon reaching the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, the expansive caldera below offers a stunning view.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early breakfast, visitors descend over 600 meters into the crater to observe wildlife. With a consistent supply of water and food, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. The park’s predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, are also a major attraction, sometimes requiring a keen eye to spot. Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, is a key feature of the crater. It is home to many flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. In the late afternoon, visitors transfer to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara to Arusha/Airport

Lake Manyara National Park - Dominated by its namesake lake, Lake Manyara National Park attracts large colonies of water birds. The pink-colored flamingos are particularly striking, but other bird species such as cormorants, pelicans, and storks are also present. The park is also known for its tree-climbing lions. During the safari, elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and many other animal species can be seen. After the game drive, the journey continues to Arusha and the airport.
