Day Trip to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - Begin the day with breakfast before heading to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game driving. The park boasts a varied landscape with nine distinct vegetation zones. Majestic Baobab trees, the largest in Africa, tower over the animals grazing below. The Tarangire River winds through the park, drawing a rich array of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and a multitude of vibrant birds. Renowned for having the largest elephant population in Tanzania, the park offers the unique opportunity to observe elephant families in their natural habitat. Enjoy a picnic lunch at an observatory within the park, where you can watch animals drinking from the river and occasionally witness lions hunting zebras or wildebeests. Continue the game drive before returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Experience an incredible day descending to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, which spans approximately 102 square miles (264 square km). This remarkable crater is the world’s largest unfilled, intact, and inactive volcano, with a depth of over 600 meters (2000 feet). The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to around 20,000 large mammals, numerous smaller wildlife species, and a variety of birds. The crater’s forest habitat shelters buffalos, zebras, and other herbivores, as well as bird nests. Spend the day exploring the crater, enjoying a picnic lunch. Later, your guide will drive you back to the airport for outbound flights or to your hotel in Arusha.
