Serengeti National Park - Departing from Arusha in the early morning, the journey to Serengeti National Park begins. The route takes us along a road near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, offering opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. The golden savannah and vast plains, bustling with zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes, clearly illustrate why the Serengeti is one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at Naabai kopje, a small rocky hill in a generally flat area, where visitors can observe the Serengeti’s renowned pink-headed lizards. After lunch, the adventure continues with a leisurely game drive further into the plains. Overnight accommodations will be at the Serengeti Camp, where guests can fall asleep to the sounds of zebras and hyenas, with dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Serengeti North, West, and South
Serengeti National Park - The day begins in the heart of the Serengeti. The park’s diverse wildlife includes lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, water buffalo, zebras, and wildebeest. Additionally, elands, hyenas, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, and antelopes inhabit the park. Regardless of the time of year, the Serengeti is teeming with wildlife. The driver will follow the migration within the Serengeti, exploring the northern, western, or southern parts, with dinner and an overnight stay at the Seronera campsite inside the Serengeti.
Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - The morning marks the departure to Ngorongoro Crater, where the night will be spent. This day signifies the final game drive in the Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro Crater. After an exhilarating game drive filled with wildlife sightings and a picnic lunch, the journey to the Crater continues. Overnight accommodations will be at Rhino Lodge, offering views of the unbroken caldera of Ngorongoro Crater. The sunset over the savannah is truly breathtaking. After a day full of adventure, guests will enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by the friendly cook.
Crater to Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater - Following an early morning breakfast, the group will quickly head to Ngorongoro Crater, as it is the optimal time for animal spotting. The day includes a game drive around the crater and a picnic lunch by a small lake within the park. The lake is home to numerous hippos and migratory birds, ensuring an enjoyable visit. The “oasis” created within the crater offers a high chance of spotting every member of the Big Five: the fierce lion, the massive elephant, the elusive leopard, the charging rhino, and the powerful water buffalo. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a remarkable place. Beautiful storks, ibis, and cranes are common water birds in the crater, a sight not to be missed. After a delightful afternoon of wildlife viewing, the journey back to Arusha will commence.
