Our guided tour begins at the stunning Ancient Theater (often referred to as the Greek Theater), an iconic representation of Taormina globally. Chiseled into the mountainside, it provides awe-inspiring views of the Ionian Sea and the Etna Volcano in the distance.
Next on our itinerary is the Naumachia (naval battle) - a grand, monumental fountain made of a wall over a hundred meters long and five meters high, constructed from red bricks. Afterwards, we travel to the Roman Odeon, a quaint ancient theater, followed by Palazzo Corvaia, a distinctly Gothic structure and the most noted palace of Taormina. Our journey continues near the Catania gate with Palazzo Duchi di Santo Stefano, another specimen of Gothic architecture, and the Church of San Giuseppe, crafted in baroque style.
