Wonderful Costa Rica - Hazel is a wonderful and very knowledgeable tour guide. The bird watching boat ride was magnificent and the lunch was delicious. Great tour!

Fantastic Shore Excursion from Puntarenas! - Hazel, our guide and Benny,our driver showed us all around. The highlight was the crocodile river cruise! Not only did we see crocodiles, we enjoyed seeing over 30 different birds! Hazel had so much information to share. It was fun to see the monkeys too. We lunch stop was delicious. I recommend the chicken! We got back to the ship with time to shop a little. Great tour!

Bird Bingo on a river cruise :) - Our tour guide Hazel and our bus driver were fantastic. It was a very full day. We loved the river cruise and all the animals that we saw. I would recommend this tour!

Hazel was a great tour... - Hazel was a great tour guide and the driver was very nice and capable...driving over some pretty rough back roads. It was a long day. The only negative was that there was no communication prior, even though I sent questions about a meeting point several times. The day before, I used a chat feature and someone named Brian told me that I hadn't booked from the cruise port and that I was being picked up at a hotel! I was finally contacted by Odyssey with the details, but it created some stress about how I was going to meet up with the tour. I didn't even have the name of the company until the night before the tour.

Stop for cruise - Very good tour at a fair price. Went on a cruise stop. Pick up was close by the cruise ship. Ron our guide was great ! Did a lot of stops. Monkeys and crocodiles watch river cruise were fabulous !

Puntarenas Tour - Well organized tour, comfortable transportation, knowledgeable tour guide. Hazel gave us a lot of information along the way. The Moneky House was a fun, up close experience with the white face monkeys!

Puntarenas Tour - I wish I could give this a better rating, but our tour had issues. We were 2 couples traveling together in Costa Rica (no cruise). I communicated before the tour to arrange for pick up in Puntarenas and that seemed to go really well. Alvarado was extremely helpful. However the day of the tour, I received a text that they were doing Bridge Work and that we may need to rework/customize our tour. The driver arrived 30 minutes late (9am instead of 8:30am) and we were waiting at our pick up spot the entire time. He did text us and let us know he may be a bit late, when got there he said he hit traffic. As far as I could tell, there was no "customization" of our tour. I believe we did all that was offered (though I still do not know why they call it 10 in 1 - not sure we had 10 adventures/sites). We went to see the monkeys and that was GREAT. A little dirty, but the family was nice and the monkeys were plentiful. We got back on the road and got stuck for one hour in the bridge traffic. We made our way up to the top of a mountain for the views - which were beautiful. But our driver kept saying "the toucans are not out now because it is too hot, if we would have gotten here earlier in the day we would have seen them, etc." - which obviously made us a little miffed since it was because he was late that we did not see them. Grr. We went on to see the Crocodiles and that was fun and there were many. But at the end of that he said that he changed plans and we would not go to the planned restaurant but eat at the crocodile house. No explanation given, but the food was "fine". We then headed back and he did get us off road to see macaws - which was nice. He drove down a back road by a river into a neighborhood and we were able to tromp through a field and saw them in a tree. We headed back and stopped briefly at a small fruit market and bought a few items. Then got back into traffic for the bridge another 45 minutes before the police escort pulled the tour buses from the line and let us go ahead (otherwise we would have been in line another 2 hours minimum). Our driver was nice, but between the traffic and not seeing some of the sights we were a little disappointed.

Shocking company to deal... - Shocking company to deal with please avoid they take payment then change dates and make out as if they were doing you a favour BOOK WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!!! Trip itself was very good organisation from Viator is shocking

Busy tour, a bit crowded, but good highlights - Our guide Hazel (Hey!) was very knowledgeable and did her best to show us the highlights on our tour. We'd hoped the group would be a little smaller, as the vehicle we were riding was full to capacity and felt a bit cramped. The monkey house visit was cute; capuchin monkeys were all around us and interacted with everyone. When we boarded the boat that took us out on the crocodile safari we did have a bit more room; it seemed like the river might have been a bit lower than when we had done a similar tour several years ago. We did see a number of crocs and many varieties of birds. Lunch was very good - appeared to be run by the tour operator as all the vehicles stopped there had the same company logo. The city tour at the end seemed a bit hurried but did give an OK overview.

Our ship Holland America Zuiderdam was unable to dock in Puntarenas due to wind. Can you please provide a refund. - The cruise was unable to dock due to high winds. Hopefully Viator will offer refund. The ship refunded all passengers on ship excursion. Hopefully you will do the same. If not, we will not book Viator excursions on future cruises. Thanks for your attention.
