- Ulejoe Park - Let’s begin with the essentials: the origins and the deep affection for Tartu, along with the tour’s objectives! There will be insights into the Estonian people, their identity, spirit, and the struggle for independence that allowed this beautiful country to flourish!
- Tartu Town Hall Square - We’ll start our journey by crossing the Arch Bridge, discussing modern traditions and some of the wildest stories, as well as its predecessor, the Stone Bridge, which was destroyed by retreating Soviet forces.
Upon reaching Town Hall Square, we’ll discuss the Pisa Tower of Tartu and the iconic Kissing Couple fountain, a symbol of Tartu.
- University Of Tartu - After exploring the square, we’ll wander down Tartu’s oldest street, Ruutli Street, sharing modern, entertaining stories and recommendations. We’ll visit St. John’s Church and delve into the concept of Soviet anecdotes, where the humor lies in the truth. At the end of our downtown exploration, we’ll visit the main building of the University of Tartu, the heart of Tartu’s academic life!
- Toome Hill Park (Toomemagi) - We’ll ascend the hill to discover the Cathedral on the mountain, ghost stories, and Edward von Lõngus. We’ll also learn about how the University of Tartu advanced medical studies and how one individual preserved Estonia’s national treasure, the national flag.
- Sculpture Oscar Wilde and Eduard Vilde - We’ll explore the intriguing meeting of Oscar Wilde and Eduard Vilde in 1890 somewhere in Paris, along with a touch of Estonian humor, and receive recommendations on further exploring the city.
