Excellent choice. Highly recommended - We visited Tashkent from the UK in December 2025.
Prior to arriving we made arrangement with John to pick us up from the airport, do the tour and drop us back.
On the day, John was unwell and couldn't make it. But he arranged a substitute who was entirely satisfactory. Nice chap. Met us at the airport, drove us around, took us to whatever we wanted to see and then dropped us back for our outbound flight when we paid (at the end of the trip) in cash.
Though we didn't get to meet John, I feel this review is appropriate as it was booked through him and he took care of the arrangements.
So, yes, I'd recommend you use his service if you're planning on visiting Tashkent.

Great insights and a fantastic afternoon - Excellent afternoon with John. Great insights into the city and history of the country. Bonus was he took great photos for us and sent them with a fantastic video. This created a great memory. Highly recommend.

Service with a smile. - Was quite knowledgable. We covered what we could from 130 pm to 615 pm or so post lunch. Took a short break for snacks and coffee. Saw the e metro stations. A famous mosque complex , gardens, statues and drove around. We declined a visit to the Chorsu market as we were out of time. Took me to our ex Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri street and we saw his bust that was placed in the corner there. Overall a satisfactory view experience .

Exploring Tashkent Like a Local with Juraev - I had the pleasure of taking a Private Tashkent City & Food Tour with Juraev, and it was truly one of the highlights of my trip. From the very beginning, he made me feel welcome with his friendly and genuine personality.
Juraev is incredibly knowledgeable about Tashkent’s history, culture, and daily life, and he shared his insights in a way that was both engaging and easy to connect with. His passion for the city really brought each place we visited to life. What I appreciated most was his thoughtfulness and attention to detail, he tailored the experience to my interests and made sure everything flowed smoothly throughout the day.
The food stops were wonderful, and thanks to Juraev I got to try authentic local dishes I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. His care in explaining the traditions behind the cuisine made the experience even more special.
Above all, his warmth and kindness made the tour feel less like a formal excursion and more like spending a day with a good friend who loves sharing his city. I can’t recommend Juraev highly enough, this was an unforgettable experience!

Amazing - I had the pleasure of having John as my tour guide during my trip to Uzbekistan, and I cannot recommend him enough. From start to finish, John was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive.
He is making sure that every detail of the journey was smooth and enjoyable.
He has deep knowledge of Uzbekistan’s history, culture, and hidden gems.
He was always patient, attentive, and ready to help with anything I needed. What impressed me most was his positive attitude and friendly nature, which made everyone feel comfortable and welcomed.
Thanks to John, my experience in Uzbekistan was unforgettable.

An amazing and customized Journey with John - Our trip overall was very good, thanks to John! He reached out to us prior and provided clear information on where to meet. John customized our trip, ensuring we had the best experience possible. He is super friendly and shared authentic explanations about the local culture, which added depth to our adventure. One of the highlights was enjoying one of our favorite meals in Uzbekistan, which John introduced us to. Highly recommend booking with him for an amazing experience!

Amazing Tashkent nature landscapes - Wow, what a trip. The landscape around Tashkent is stunning and there is so much natural scenery in the mountains. The tour was well paced and I was collected and dropped at my hotel with no problems. Once out of the city, the traffic was light and the roads empty. My driver and guide was an amazing guy. Polite, interesting and also witty with lots of insider information along the way.

John and his tour are simply the best ❤️ - Absolutely incredible experience! From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations — stunning scenery, warm hospitality, and seamless logistics. The local food was delicious and every activity was thoughtfully planned. I’d return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

Short walk through Tashkent - Tour with Khikmatilloh was super informative, creative and fun experience. He is super knowledgeable, provides interesting and fun facts about places we have visited.
Tour duration and places visited gave me enough insights for time that I had availalbe for city exploration.
October is great time, as it wasnt super corwded and weather was bonus.
