Grade 3: Some bushwalking experience is recommended. Tracks may feature short steep hills, rough surfaces, and numerous steps.

Departs Cradle Mountain

The journey commences with a safety briefing at the base of the Lake. The trail spans 6km and is traversed in a clockwise direction. This exceptional walk promises breathtaking views of the renowned mountain!

The walk is expected to take around 4 hours, including a lunch break along the route. The path encircles Dove Lake, passes beneath the mountain, and then winds through magnificent rainforest back to the tour’s starting point. Participants will have the chance to explore some of Tasmania’s unique vegetation found in this region.

A picnic-style lunch is provided with the tour. It will be given to you before the walk; please ensure you have an appropriate bag to carry it.

The tour guide reserves the right to refuse a passenger’s participation due to the physical demands of the walk. If this occurs, the passenger will be transferred to join the Park Explorer Tour at their own expense.
