Tbilisi-Jinvali-Ananuri-Gudauri-Stepantsminda

Tbilisi - At 09:20, embark on a walking tour of Tbilisi. Lunch is scheduled for 12:00. At 14:00, depart for Stepantsminda, located 170 km from Tbilisi. Along the way, visit the Zhinvali Reservoir, Ananuri Fortress, Gudauri Friendship Arch, and Cross Pass at 2385 meters. Check-in at a 3-star guesthouse. The travel time is approximately 4 hours, including stops. Overnight in Stepantsminda, situated 1700 meters above sea level.

Jinvali Water Reservoir - Head towards the western exit from Tbilisi, and after 50 minutes, pause for photos at the Zhinvali Reservoir.

Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble - After a 10-minute drive, explore the Ananuri Fortress, historically a bastion against Iberian conquests and home to the princely Eristavi family. A small Georgian souvenir bazaar is located in the parking area. After a 40-minute drive, stop at the confluence of the white and black Aragvi rivers, where a distinct line of different colored waters can be seen before they merge.

Gudauri - Continue along the Georgian Military Road to the Gudauri ski resort. Stop at the Arch of Friendship (Zurab Tsereteli) and enjoy the views near the Cross Pass, at an elevation of 2295 meters. Begin the descent to Stepantsminda, pausing for photos at the Red Mountain, known for its mineral-rich mountain springs.

Stepantsminda - Near Stepantsminda, visit the village of Sno to see the home of the Patriarch of Georgia, Ilya II, and a typical Georgian observation tower. Upon arrival in Stepantsminda, ascend to the 15th-century Gergeti Trinity Church.

Stepantsminda-Juta-Stepantsminda

Stepantsminda - Travel by off-road vehicles to the village of Juta for a trekking tour to the pass.

Juta - Engage in a trekking tour in Juta, located 2200 meters above sea level, with an ascent to 3000 meters over 5-7 hours.

Stepantsminda - Return to Stepantsminda via the same off-road route.

Stepantsminda-Weather Station (Mount Kazbegi)

Mount Kazbek - Travel by SUV to the Gergeti Church at 2200 meters, then load supplies onto horses while people proceed on foot. Ascend to the weather station at 3653 meters above sea level over 6-7 hours. Spend the night at the weather station in sleeping bags on sunbeds. A water source is available at the station, but it is recommended to bring 10 liters of water per person for all ascents, which climbers will carry themselves.

Weather Station-Mount Kazbegi-Weather Station

Mount Kazbek - Climb to the peak of Mount Kazbegi, weather permitting. Ascend from 3653 meters to 5054 meters, taking approximately 16 hours, with 8-9 hours for the ascent and 7-6 hours for the descent back to the weather station at 3653 meters.

Reserve Day

Mount Kazbek - If weather conditions on the previous day prevent the ascent to Mount Kazbegi, the climb will be attempted on this day. If the ascent was completed the previous day, descend to the Gergeti Church over 6 hours, then proceed to the village of Stepantsminda. Overnight in Stepantsminda at the guesthouse, 1700 meters above sea level.

Stepantsminda

Stepantsminda - Enjoy a free day in Stepantsminda, visiting the two Gveleti waterfalls in the Darial Gorge and the Truso Gorge with a cold geyser. If the reserve day was used for the ascent to Mount Kazbeg, this day will be dedicated to descending from the weather station to the village of Stepantsminda. Overnight in Stepantsminda.

Stepantsminda-Pasanauri-Jvari-Mtskheta-Tbilisi

Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region - Transfer to Tbilisi. From Stepantsminda, visit Pasanauri, the birthplace of Khinkali, and take excursions to Jvari and the ancient capital of Georgia, Mtskheta. The journey covers 170 km and takes 5-6 hours with stops. Overnight in Tbilisi, 420 meters above sea level.
