A small stone church was constructed within the Cathedral at the end of the 13th and beginning of the 14th century, enhancing its historical and architectural significance. One of Georgia’s most significant religious celebrations, Mtskhetoba-Svetitskhovloba, honors the Life-Giving Pillar and the Tunic of the God, highlighting the site’s cultural and religious importance.
