Monday: Tbilisi - Jvari - Mtskheta

10:00 - The tour begins at Sameba Cathedral and Metekhi Church, then proceeds to the Abanotubani district, renowned for its Sulphur baths. A cable car ride will take visitors to Narikala Fortress, followed by a stroll along Shardeni Street, known for its numerous souvenir and gift shops. A visit to Tbilisi is incomplete without seeing Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica. From Freedom Square, the tour continues along Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi’s main street. The journey proceeds to Jvari Church, constructed at the end of the 6th century, offering a stunning view of Mtskheta, nestled between peaks and the confluence of two rivers. The tour then drives to the old city of Mtskheta to visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral before returning to Tbilisi.

Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, a poet and notable Georgian figure, resided here, and his home features an art gallery and a bar where Tsinandali, the first Georgian wine made with European technology, can be tasted. The tour continues to Ikalto Academy and the Shuamta Monastery Complex, then returns to the Tbilisi hotel via the scenic Gombori Pass.
