Day 1 – Tbilisi to Tusheti (7–8 hours drive, 250 km)

The journey kicks off early in Tbilisi. After meeting the guides, the drive takes you through the picturesque Kakheti wine region and up the renowned Abano Pass (2,945 m) — an exhilarating route into the secluded highlands of Tusheti National Park.
Upon arrival in Omalo, the heart of Tusheti, check into a welcoming family guesthouse. Post-lunch, explore the Keselo Castle Towers and visit the Omalo Visitor Center.
Dinner showcases local Tushetian cuisine and homemade wine.

Day 2 – Tusheti Village Exploration (Dartlo, Dano, Kvavlo, Bochorna & Dochu)
Tusheti National Park - Riding: 25–30 km | 6–7 hours
Today’s ride immerses you in the spirit of Tusheti. After breakfast, mount your horse and head towards Dartlo, one of the region’s most iconic villages, celebrated for its ancient stone towers and medieval allure.
Continue uphill to Dano and Kvavlo, where stunning views unfold over the Pirikita Alazani Valley. After a lunch break along the way, ride through Bochorna, Europe’s highest permanently inhabited village, and proceed to Dochu before returning to Omalo for dinner.

Day 3 – Omalo to Picris Chala (30 km / 7–8 hours)

Following breakfast, the migration expedition commences. The group and the herd descend from the Tusheti highlands, traversing alpine meadows and winding mountain paths.
Relish a picnic lunch amidst breathtaking mountain vistas.
By evening, reach Picris Chala, where camp is set up under the stars. Dinner is freshly prepared by the support team, followed by storytelling around the campfire.

Day 4 – Picris Chala to Pshaveli (35 km / 7–8 hours)
Day 5 – Pshaveli to Tsinandali Valley (30 km / 6–7 hours)

After breakfast, ride into the fertile Alazani Valley, renowned for vineyards and traditional Georgian winemaking.
Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst rolling hills and forests.
Arrive in the Tsinandali Valley by evening and set up camp near the historic wine estate area. Dinner is served around the campfire.

Day 6 – Tsinandali to Sakobo (30–35 km / 7–8 hours)

Ride towards Mount Elia through the expansive Shiraki steppe, one of Georgia’s most picturesque landscapes.
Pause for lunch with views of the vast plains extending towards the Azerbaijan border.
Arrive at Elia Monastery, a sacred site carved into the cliffs, and camp nearby for the night.

Day 8 – Elia to Vashlovani National Park (30 km / 6–7 hours)

The final riding day leads into the wild heart of Vashlovani National Park, Georgia’s desert paradise known for limestone canyons, eagle cliffs, and pistachio forests.
Savor a picnic lunch along the route and celebrate the completion of the migration at the winter horse farm, where the herd spends the colder months.
Dinner includes a festive Georgian supra with the horsemen and guides.

Day 9 – Vashlovani to Tbilisi (5–6 hours drive)
Tbilisi - Drive: 5–6 hours
After breakfast, transfer back to Tbilisi via Dedoplistskaro and the Kakheti wine region.
Pause for a farewell lunch before arriving in Tbilisi in the evening (approximately 20:00–22:00).
