Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble - Ananuri fortress: a tale in stone.
On the banks of the Aragvi, you will encounter the only Georgian fortress that has survived in its original form. As you explore the Ananuri defense complex, you will feel transported to the Middle Ages and discover the illustrious history of the Aragva eristavi (leaders of the people). Special attention will be given to the 17th-century Assumption Church, whose facade is adorned with intriguing bas-reliefs, each element of the decor holding a hidden meaning. -
Pasanauri - Witness the merging of two rivers (White and Black Aragvi), stunning views, and a unique mineral spring that resembles a golden river. (Stop for 15 minutes)
At the confluence of the two Aragvi and within the picturesque gorge, there are numerous restaurants in beautiful locations. Here, you can savor Georgian khinkali and other traditional mountain dishes. (Restaurant is paid). (Restaurant and meal time 80 minutes) -

Gergeti Trinity Church - Gergeti Church and Fortress
You have likely seen postcards featuring an ancient monastery perched on a hill against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. To witness these views in person, travel to the village of Stepantsminda at the base of Kazbek. There, you will switch to jeeps to ascend to the “monastery behind the clouds,” celebrated in Pushkin’s poetry.
