- Jinvali Water Reservoir - En route to the mountains, we’ll pause for a photo opportunity at Jinvali Lake, which serves as a water reservoir. When the sun is out, the water displays a stunning shade of blue.
- Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble - Ananuri Castle is a must-see on the journey to Kazbegi. Situated on the Aragvi River, it is one of Georgia’s best-preserved fortresses.
- Aragvi River - A remarkable spot where the white Aragvi and black Aragvi rivers meet, yet their waters remain distinct, creating a striking black-and-white stream.

- Stepantsminda - This valley village is dominated by the 14th-century Gergeti Trinity Church and its nearby bell tower, both set against the backdrop of the glacier-capped Mount Kazbek.
- Trusso Valley - The picturesque Truso Valley, the source of the Tergi River, extends west from the Georgian Military Highway, 17 km south of Stepantsminda. It features ancient towers, deserted Ossetian villages, and unique mineral phenomena, including the Abano mineral lake, which bubbles with carbon dioxide.
