Doubtful Sound Day Trip from Te Anau - Really enjoyed this trip! We were staying in Te Anau, so the tour included a bus trip to Manapouri (20 mins), a boat trip across the lake (45 mins), coach trip across Wilmott Pass with lovely Karina as our driver (and a great stop for a photo op overlooking Doubtful Sound from the top of the Pass), then the cruise on the Sound itself (3 hours).
We were really impressed the whole day - the drivers, commentators and staff were all excellent as were the buses and boats - very comfortable, clean and safe.
Adam, the skipper in Doubtful Sound was great! Kept it light and funny but really informative and due to the gorgeous day / weather, he was able to go right out into the Tasman when we turned around to go back - awesome!
We saw albatross, penguins and a whole heap of seals (all sunbathing on the rocks near the entrance of the Sound).
On the way back he took us into an arm of the Sound and turned the engines off for about 5 minutes.
The silence was incredible! So peaceful! You could suddenly hear the bird life and water hitting the shore line - you could feel the serenity and calm - beautiful!
We took our own picnic with us, but did have a great coffee on board.
It was a longish day but absolutely worth it! If I had to choose between visiting Milford and Doubtful I would say Doubtful, but both were wonderful trips! Thoroughly recommended!

Incredible views. Must do. - Incredible. Just incredible. Had blue skies. Fun drivers and commentary on the boat. Views are out of this world. Do this instead of Milford sound! Was more peaceful.

Breathtakingly beautiful - Wonderful, beautiful, well-organised, friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend this tour, it is a "must do" and worth every dollar. Doubtful Sound is spectacular from every angle, rain, cloud, mist or shine.

West Coast Adventure out of Te Anau - Superb experience encapsulating the serene and the wild personalities of Doubtful Sound. RealNZ organised it well and their boat was comfortable and well-catered.

Doubtful Sound is stunning. - It was a great experience. Staff were wonderful. We had a rainy day, but I was told that's how you want it so you get to see all the waterfalls. And yes, we saw a ton of waterfalls. We also stopped on the way back for a moment of complete silence. They turned off the engines and asked everyone to be completely quiet. That was pretty cool.

Excellent experience Trip Advisor booking. - This was a fantastic all day adventure. Ee were picked up for the first 20 minute bus leg from Te Anau caught the first boat up the lake in West Manapouri. Second bus trip over the pass about 45 minutes and then 3.5 hours on the boat. Every segment was packed with beautiful sights and great guides. Unfortunately, the booking through TripAdvisor was painful. The link that was e-mailed out would not take us to our tickets, nor with the app, nor with the website. We eventually had to go to the Real NZ Office to get our tickets printed. No response from TripAdvisor when I reached out to them.

Doubtful Sound itself is... - Doubtful Sound itself is beautiful with so much to take in. The natural beauty is breathtaking.
The whole experience with Real NZ though was less than great. Groups are large and it is a free for all push and shove to get on buses and boats.
Travelling with a person with a walking aid with no consideration shown by the staff. Staff were more interested in standing together chatting with each other which was a vast difference to the smaller boutique experience we had cruising Milford Sound with another company.
Commentary on board the cruise was informative and interesting.
