Beautiful scenery - Awesome experience. Beautiful waterfalls. The boat accommodations were very nice but passengers must bring their own lunches

Amazing day in beautiful Doubtful Sound - March 19: We were staying in a Te Anau holiday park in our campers so needed a ride to the official start of the day. No worries, when booking thru RealNZ we were able to add a bus from Te Anau (an easy walk to their meeting center) that took us to Manapouri. Very nice ferry across the lake where we were met by comfortable buses that took us over a mountain pass to the Sound. There we boarded the ferry that would take us around Doubtful Sound for the next few hours. The funny bus driver, Chris, who took us from/to Te Anau provided us with lots of interesting information along our route. The first ferry guide provided even more info about the history of the area and the giant power station. The Wilmot Pass bus driver, Andy, was also very educational about flora, fauna, and sea life, and clearly very proud of this beautiful area. The guide on the Doubtful Sound voyage kept us engaged and well informed throughout. The "quiet moment" was amazing. We were very lucky with the weather that day but alas did not see very much wildlife. That's ok because the birds, animals, and sea life are not on our schedule and we know that. Doubtful Sound is gorgeoues with towering peaks, quiet inlets, waterfalls, glistening waters, and fresh air. It was truly a great day and we highly recommend this day tour.

Good excursion on the right day and weather - What started as a rainy day turned in to a great waterfall presentation. The rain and clouds cleared and there were hundreds of waterfalls everywhere. Many of them lasting only a day or 2 after the rain. Great viewing, long day. Multiple transfers between busses and boats got tiresome.

THE best day! - This was THE best day out! We had beautiful blue skies, it was warm(ish) . The staff are friendly and engaging and the captain was excellent in his commentary. I won’t go into too many details and spoil it but it really was just amazing. Highly recommend!

Just do it - More intimate than Milford, this was one of the jewels of our trip to NZ! The guides were great and the views were unlike anything else on the planet. Just book it, impossible to be disappointed with Doubtful Sound.

An unforgettable wilderness experience - Good timing from the organizers. Enough time for toilet trips during transfers. Very friendly staff. The tour was very informative. Despite the number of participants, one had the feeling of driving through the wilderness. Stopping in the fjord without engine noise, listening to the silence, was also a special experience. Highly recommended!

Doubtful Sound cruise exceeded expectations! - Great excursion to Doubtful Sound! Total of 4 bus rides and 3 boat rides in total but well worth it! Beautiful scenery all around. Cruise on Doubtful Sound was amazing. Wasn’t prepared for some rough seas in the ocean but didn’t last too long. Saw NZ fur seals. Boat was comfortable and crew were friendly and helpful.

Amazing but way too long to stand. - Waterfalls were amazing! Only downside is that they could use outside seating. The last people on the boat didn't have seating.
