Exceptional Glow worm experience - Wonderful cruise across lake Te Anau to the glow worms cave, the guide we had was very informative. The glow worms put on an amazing show. Highly recommend.

Excellent,educational trip - A really well organised tour. Split into groups of 12 once we reached the cave location. Amazing experience with a knowledgeable guide. Excellent presentation afterwards with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Well worth a visit. No loos at the RealNZ office at Te Anau before departure but fantastic clean,free public facilities opposite.

Amazing experience. Try it - It's worth doing. An experience in otself. They first take you through a big boat where you get an excellent tour of the lake Te Anau.. Then you reach the site. The experience is unique. You walk through caves and then they take you in a small boat where you see the dark cave glowing with the lights emitted by the glow worms

Not to miss experience in Te Anau - Amazing cave system and underground water flows. Observing gloworms in their natural habitat was a special experience. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The 30min boat trip to and from the caves is an added bonus.

This is a must do - This is a must do. The glow worms are magical and the cave system is incredible - very easy to walk around in. The guides are fantastic - they are informative and cheeky. Just a wonderful experience and if I was on Te Anau for longer I’d do it again.

Great Experience - We had a trip out to the Te Anau Glowworm Caves during our stay in this area. It was a great experience. Very informative and well managed from a conservation point of view. The boat ride out was also a highlight. The glow worms were amazing to look at and a whole different world underground. I would highly recommend the experience.

An enjoyable trip - An interesting trip. The boat ride across to the caves was nice and there was some commentary about the geology of the region. It was rather difficult to hear what the guide was saying when we were inside the caves due to the noise of the river running underneath the walkway. However, there were lots of glow worms to see especially on the ride on the punt deeper inside the caves. The talk afterwards about the glow worms and their life cycle was informative and delivered in an engaging way. We're glad we did this trip and I would recommend it to others. We went in late summer (February) which is when a lot of glow worms would be expected but if you want to go in winter it would be worth checking beforehand whether there are any to be seen to avoid disappointment.
