- Old City of Jerusalem - The tour begins in the Old City, where participants will receive a comprehensive briefing, covering a century of history from the late Ottoman era to the present. There will also be an overview of Israeli occupation and settlement activities in the Old City and the adjacent Holy Basin.
The morning tour will highlight the significance of the Old City of Jerusalem to the three monotheistic faiths while exploring some visible symbols of the Israeli Occupation, including Jewish settlements in the Christian and Muslim Quarters, with discussions on their history and impact.
- Western Wall - The tour continues with a walk through the Old City, entering via Damascus Gate, navigating the lively markets, and learning about the city’s division while visiting various sites. The tour includes a visit to the Western Wall Plaza, located at the heart of the Old City, established over the demolished Mugrabe neighborhood after the 1967 war. Participants will also learn about the Temple Mount’s and Al Aqsa’s significance in Judaism and Islam, and their central role in the conflict.
- Jerusalem District - After lunch, there will be a brief session, followed by a drive to explore East Jerusalem settlements and Palestinian neighborhoods, gaining insights into the area’s dynamics.
- West Bank - The tour offers a close-up view of the West Bank Wall, also known as the Separation Barrier, which divides Arabs and Jews and, in many areas, Palestinian communities. This is an opportunity to understand the reasons behind the wall’s construction, its effectiveness in preventing terrorism, and the surveillance of Palestinian residents.
- Tal`at ad Dam - The final stop allows visitors to see the Palestinian village of Anata, encircled by the Wall. Participants will learn about Ma’ale Adumim, one of the largest settlements in the West Bank, and may visit the town’s outlying outposts, discovering the displacement of the local Jahalin Bedouin. Some lookout points offer stunning views of the Judean Desert and the ‘E1’ planning zone, which is slated for new settlement neighborhoods and tourist hotels.
