Alaverdi is the tallest cathedral in Georgia, reaching up to 50 meters.
Twins Wine Cellar - Founded by brothers Gia and Gela Gamtkitsulashvili in 2014, this unique museum showcases “Qvevri and Qvevri Wine.” The museum features an 8-meter pitcher statue and several halls detailing the process of making pitchers and pitcher wine. Batonis-Tsikhe Fortress - Known as ‘The Master’s Fortress,’ it was constructed by King Archil between 1667-1675. This was the main residence of Kakhetian kings in the 17th-18th centuries. The castle includes two ancient churches, the ruins of a royal bath, and King Erekle II’s Persian-style palace. The architectural complex was built in two phases: Erekle II’s Palace, the eastern gate, and a royal bath were constructed first, followed by Erekle II’s church, a fence, and the western gate in the late 18th century. Historically, Batonis Tsikhe served both as a royal residence and a military stronghold, with a fence protecting the city and its people during King Erekle’s reign.
