Telouet houses their residence, a magnificent kasbah constructed in the 19th century. This citadel, a symbol of power and prestige, combines a grand residence with a military command post to oversee the caravan route and the entire region. The Kasbah of Telouet was an impressive complex: fortress, castle, and caravanserai. This captivating gem merges traditional Amazigh architecture with the more oriental, Hispano-Moorish style, reflecting the grandeur the former masters wished to project to the world. The intricately decorated walls and ceilings adorned with rich designs and patterns showcase the luxury in which the Glaoua lived, owners of the kasbah abandoned since 1956.
