Along the way, there are stops to take in the magnificent scenery. Discover the diverse woodland of the Smoky Mountains, including chestnut oak, white oak, magnolia, maple, and tulip trees. Upon reaching the summit, the descent begins. This area was part of the American Frontier in the 1830s and 1840s. Nearly 200 years of history are preserved in the form of log cabins and plants!
