Setting Sail on the Rio Grande

The anticipation was palpable as I arrived in Terlingua, Texas, ready to embark on the Rio Grande Canyon Float. Once at the river, we were outfitted with personal flotation devices and given a safety briefing. The water level dictated our mode of transport, and today, we would be floating in canoes.
