Guachimontones plus - By coincidence, we had the great fortune of using the services of our guide Jesus again. He’s super reliable, relaxed, attentive, and knowledgeable. Guachimontones is a must see place especially if you’re into archeological sites. The circular mounds are unique and ball court is impressive. Although small, the onsite museum is very informative as is the introductory film and the views of the surrounding area is beautiful.

Jesús is the man! - Amazing experience provided by Jesús Salas. Extremely knowledgeable and punctual. He seemed more like an old friend with his laidback personality and sense of humor. We could not have asked for a better guide. Guachimontones and the Don Valente distillery surpassed my expectations because of Jesús. Along with the carnitas from the restaurant he brought us to. “Muchas gracias, mi amigo”

Private chauffeur tour of ruins and nearby city - We were picked up by a wonderful man named Lalo. He took my husband and I to Guachumintones in his own vehicle! We went at our own pace, made stops for snacks, and explored the ruins and the city nearby! It was fantastic! I’ve never had my own private chauffeur before, that’s what this experience was. Wonderful experience, would highly recommend!

Guachimontones Walking Tour - This was an awesome trip! They pick you up from your stay which makes it very convenient. Our tour guide Mauricio was so knowledgeable and accommodating. He knew about the City of Guadalajara and the archeological site of Guachimontones from start to finish. You drive thru the town of Teuchitlán first to get to to the archeological site. There you park and walk up this hill to the ruins. It's a fascinating and very naturistic walk. Mauricio was able to explain each ruins in detail. Then after the ruins you walk over to the museum to see all the artifacts Mexico has collected over the years to display in detail even with an excavated mummy. After the musuem you go into the town of Teuchitlán and walk around then eat. What a great trip. I will totally book with Viator again.

Unforgettable - There was a slight hiccup on our tour. The location was closed for the day I reserved, but they hadn’t notified our tour guide, Jesus. Our Tour guide was so amazing that he improvised and took us elsewhere. Jesus was so well informed and knowledgeable that he was able to tell us the history of the Guachimonotones as we set out on a different path. We tasted indigenous drinks reserved for the high class of the ancient world as well as a trip down a few Tequilerias. The day turned out so amazing that I can’t even be sad I didn’t get to see the circular pyramids. It was an amazing day that I will never forget. Book this trip, what’s on schedule is amazing and if there’s a need to improvise, you’re in store for an adventure.
