Setting Sail on a New Adventure

After leaving my finance job in Seoul to backpack through Southeast Asia, I’ve been on the lookout for unique experiences that won’t break the bank. After snorkeling, we headed to a secluded beach for a delicious Thai lunch. The authentic flavors and the serene setting made for a perfect midday break.

Kayaking and Climbing to New Heights

Post-lunch, we embarked on a kayaking adventure around the limestone cliffs of Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park. The guides took care of everything, even capturing photos of us in action, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. The tranquility of paddling through the clear waters, surrounded by towering cliffs, was a moment of pure bliss.

The day’s highlight was undoubtedly the climb to the Emerald Lagoon. The 500-meter ascent was challenging, but Jason, one of the guides, was incredibly supportive, encouraging us every step of the way. Reaching the top and gazing at the breathtaking view of the lagoon and the surrounding archipelago was a reward like no other.

As we made our way back to Koh Samui, I couldn’t help but reflect on the day’s adventures.
