Big scam - We are deeply disappointed with this unauthentic experience and don’t recommend it to anybody. In the description it says that you’re going to trek through the Mae Wang jungle and stop along the way at a few stops which is a completely lie. Yes you’re going to visit a waterfall, do the bamboo rafting and visit an elephant sanctuary but the whole day we were driven around in a car and didn’t even have to walk a single time for more than 5 minutes. I don’t think you can call that trekking at all! Besides that the elephant sanctuary is so unethical and they force the elephants to stay at the same small place just for the tourists to feed them, touch them and take pictures. We don’t think that is okay at all and it was quite clear that the elephants didn’t enjoy it as they constantly tried to move away when a tourist approached them. Lastly they promise that you’re going to visit a longneck Karen village. When we asked our guide when we had to visit the village he was hesitant whether we even had time, which really disappointed us since it is in the program and a part of what we have payed for. Eventually we did visit the village, but the longneck women were nowhere to be seen. When we asked our guide he told us that it wasn’t a longneck village, which really confused us since it clearly says that in the description. Other then that the village had nothing to offer and only consisted of a few houses were the women tried to sell us souvenirs. Very unauthentic. You don’t get what you pay for and what you’re promised with this experience and we highly advise you not to go.
