Unethical elephant centre - even if you only booked rafting and quad bikes. - Unethical elephant activities sadly are an integral part of this package - we didn’t know this when booking (elephants weren’t mentioned anywhere in the viator description) and would never have booked or gone if we’d been aware, but the quad bike centre doubles as an elephant riding place and so we had to sit around and watch other tourists ride on chained and bloodied animals that were routinely beaten to make them comply. Other that that, the rafting was brief and not real rafting and there was a lot of sitting around.

Not worth the long waiting/ driving times - The white water rafting itself is amazing, but not really worth the drive. We got picked up at 6:30 from our Hotel and our first stop wasn't until 10! The monkey cave was nice to see but definitely not worth a visit on its own. Oh and some people couldn't even go in because they didn't wear appropriate clothes, but the tour guide didn't care at all. After another hour of driving we finally reached the place for the rafting. But we had to wait another hour to finally go into the boat. On the water, we had a lot of fun, but there were more than 100 boats on a small river so don't expect anything close to a private experience. The rafting itself took around one hour, which in our opinion did not make up for the hours of wait and drive. The waterfall at the end was disappointing aswell, because we got drivin right to the pint of the waterfall, so no walk in the jungle and we got less than 30 minutes to spend there. The views were stunning but definitely not the most amazing I've seen. After that, we had to wait... AGAIN! The ATV-Tour wasn't as described at the same time as the waterfall walk but instead afterwards so everyone else had to wait in the sun, without water or anyone from the crew to talk to. After a long day we just wanted to get home but again it was a 3½ hour drive to our hostel. All in all not worth loosing a whole day of your holiday here.
