So easy and Fun - We had 2 days at the Caves camping and doing tours. So convenient and a quick get away from Gladstone. Great spot, Professional and Relaxed Tours

Caves tours and camping - We did Explorer and Cathedral tours on the same day, even though the rains wouldn't let up.
Such amazing service with the best people doing the tours like Karl, Beth and the crew.
We also stayed in our motorhome in the camping area, Karl and the crew went above and beyond with their hospitality to make sure we had everything we needed.
We will be coming back in better weather.

Worthwhile stop in Rockhaven - Better than expected! Very interesting cave tour, with great information and fascinating things to see. We’ve seen many caves, but never an above the ground cave, and this allows lots of animals in, including bats, frogs, moths, and spiders. Excellent geology lessons, as well as natural history of the Queensland area. Plus, the cave is warm. But prepare to be a little muddy (at least in the rainy season) during an optional crawl through a narrow side cave, which was well worth it. We enjoyed it as a couple, but so did a family with us with four children (one of whom had been to the cave twice before). Our tour guide was very informative and patient.

A must do if in Rockhampton/Yeppoon area - Amazing and informative about the caves and bats and other cave dwellers.
Izzy has great knowledge with a good sense of humor. She was attentive to us 2 oldies (70 & 75) making sure we enjoyed the tour and were kept safe.
Would highly recommend for all the family, and we will be back.

Worthy Stop Over - We went to the caves with our kids in the afternoon. Well guidet tour, with interesting insides to the caves flora and fauna. We are happy to go there and not just drove trough to Yeppoon.
Also good Coffee and shop, where you can buy real fossils.

Amazing! - We stayed the night at the Capricorn Cave then completed the explore tour with our two young children. We have Mikayla as our tour guide. She was fantastic especially with the kids on the tour. She engaged the kids with child friendly information. Definitely worth the stop.

Not worth it. - I really hate to write this, but my wife and I have been talking about this tour for awhile since taking it and I'm not sure if ours was simply an anomaly, but seeing the 5/5 reviews I just can't understand it. Kai was our guide and we found him to be condescending (our opinion - could be just us). He certainly cares about his job as we listened to he and the other guide talk about his commentary and its delivery after every story. Whenever he made a joke which none of us laughed at, he repeated it several times. Again, could be just us or the content was just too hard to make a good joke from, I don't know. His colleague also lurked in the background, and when I asked him if he was a geologist he said no, he wishes he was as at least that job would pay better. He seemed to hate his job.
As for the tour, two things... it was pretty boring. Kai tried to make it exciting, but the content simply wasn't. I felt that the company already had the Cathedral Tour and wanted to offer something else and this was the only possibility.
The other item - we were not prepared for the lights being turned off and immersing in the complete and total darkness while standing in a confined space, unable to move. We didn't realize this. My wife panicked and started to cry and honestly fell apart. This could absolutely be my fault for not seeing this in the Terms & Conditions, but if it isn't, this needs to be clarified in advance. If anyone suffers from claustrophobia, DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR.
We are hardy travellers who've been around the world many times. Perhaps our expectations were simply too high.
I hate leaving a bad review, but this tour was simply not worth the money. Again, could be just us. The only reason I'm rating this 2/5 is due to me not reading the terms ahead of time, otherwise this was a solid 1/5.
