Great Tour that you should do if you’re in Athens. - Our driver/guide was Alex. He picked us up on time and we headed out on a long day of touring. Alex had water which was great. He showed the sites of Athens as we headed north towards Thermopyles. I had researched it and knew there was not much there and that was correct. The land has changed so much. The statue and memorial was there but under construction so we could not get close. We visited the small visitor center and saw the video which was worth it. So unless you are really to history and want a picture, Thermopyles is a long drive. Now Delphi I think is a must. Alex got us there and on the way shared with us some of the history of Delphi. It is very mountainous which I did not expect. Alex recommended a very nice lunch place that we enjoyed. Highly recommend Alex and the tour.

Great! - Costa was a wonderful driver full of great information about everywhere we went. Delphi is absolutely amazing….and big! Be ready for a lot of steps and ramps. It is worth it to go all the way to the top. Thermopylae was underwhelming. If you are tight on time skip it. But was nice to say we were there and the movie at the visitor’s Center was educational. Overall an amazing experience.

Thermopylae and Apollo Review - I can’t put into words how breathtaking the view is from the Temple of Apollo and the lunch we had afterword. It was unfortunate The Statue of Leonids was left underwhelming ,but the area is still one to feel. Our tour guide Notis was very interactive and incredibly informative throughout the long drive. He kept you engaged with history and even the modern day climate of Greece. He kept us laughing and made the drive feel shorter than what it was. You’re lucky if you get him as your tour guide. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour based on our experience.

Good, but must-read notes… - Great driver. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic. Check the drive times! It’s 2.5 hours each way in a tight European car. Be careful if elderly. Oracle of Delphi / Temple of Apollo is up the face of a mountain and built into the slope. Everything requires walking in the sun. My 72yo mother really struggled to get up. Bring umbrellas to protect you from the sun, almost zero shade while exploring. Sunscreen a must. Didn’t book lunch thru Viator but driver gave us a great recommendation that ended up being one of the better meals we had in Athens vicinity. We were a party of three - elderly mom stayed in front seat, two young guys in back seat behind her with middle seat free. Wouldn’t have been comfortable at all with four people.

Check the current opening and closing times! - Make sure your guide is aware of the current opening and closing times of the Delphi site. Our guide got us there too late in the afternoon. We only had a few minutes and saw very little.
