Bonaventure Cemetery From Downtown Savannah we recommend taking East Liberty route to Wheaton St and traveling Wheaton until it becomes Skidaway Rd. Once at a "Little 5 Points" intersection, you'll turn Left on E. 36th St. This bumps right into Bonaventure another mile down. Approx 10-15 minutes.

Excellent guide and fascinating tour - Bonaventure is a beautiful, peaceful place in the daytime, so we wanted to learn more. I thought it might be spooky at night, but it wasn’t. We had also taken a Savannah ghost tour where 90% was completely fabricated and good people’s reputations were besmirched by lies and it was important to us that the truth- whatever it was- was told. Shannon addressed my concerns and I felt he was truthful and sincere. We visited 6 different plots in the Cemetery for information. It’s totally interesting material- lots of Masonic stuff, rich people crazy, and characters. Shannon was very knowledgeable and prepared for questions. I love history and appreciate people who truly love going down the rabbit holes of it all. Highly recommend this tour. It’s not Halloween ish or silly, it’s fascinating trivia and I’d love to go again to different parts of the Cemetery on tour with him as a guide.

Interesting Tour That Was Well Done! - Great tour. Interesting subject matter and relevant stories. They provided lanterns for walking in the dark. My wife and I enjoyed it. It was the highlight of all the tours we took.

Worth it! - Shannon knows everything there is to know about Bonaventure. Cool guy! More history in this cemetery than we could ever know. Lots of mystery and intrigue. Loved carrying around a lantern in the dark.

There is only one Shannon Scott! - Shannon Scott is THE expert on Bonaventure with a practically encyclopedic knowledge of the cemetery, its inhabitants, and history. I especially love the various Masonic references and deep dives he goes into. I Visit Savannah at least yearly and always make sure to catch this After Hours tour when I can. I had been on other Bonaventure Tours in the past, but they were nowhere as interesting or entertaining as Shannon Scott's. There's no one out there like he or this tour; and to be in Bonaventure after hours at Dusk is truly a magical experience. Highly highly recommend!!!!

Bonaventure Cemetery After Hours - learned so much about Savannah! - Great tour of the very unique Bonaventure Savannah cemetery. The tour takes place after the cemetery closes, so it's just the group, Shannon, and....... Shannon Scott is extremely knowledgeable of the area’s history and traditions which makes his stories entertaining and enjoyable to listen to. He includes symbology related to the common Egyptian, Greek, and Masonic images seen throughout the cemetery adding additional mystery and intrigue to this special location. The tour is probably best suited for adults as it’s a full 2-hour tour with subjects which may not be suitable for young people. Everyone in our group very much enjoyed the experience.

AVOID - conspiracy theories, not history - Don't waste your money or your evening on the After Hours tour - show yourself around in the daytime instead, maybe get a self-guided audio tour if you want more context. But if you're interested in history or culture, I DON'T RECOMMEND. Why? Well, about a third of the way through the tour, we stopped at a grave and Shannon spent 15-20 minutes sharing some of the most batshit conspiracy theories I've ever heard. Some highlights include: - Humanity was born from the dust of Atlantis. - The three obelisks around this particular grave resonate with the harmonic pathways because they form a pyramid like the Pyramids of Giza (we actually passed a fourth obelisk further out, but apparently this one doesn't count for some reason) - The slightly raised portion of Savannah upon which the Cemetery stands was not made by volcanic sand being deposited by rivers over 11 million years, as actual scientists with degrees state. It was actually hand terraced by "the ancients" for celestial interdimensional purposes. - Academius (sic) has kept these truths hidden from us!! There was a lot more rubbish being spouted but that's what I remember. The worst part is that I spent the next two thirds of the tour suspicious of everything that came out of Shannon's mouth - if you're going to share your crackpot theories, at least wait till the end so your audience can trust the rest of your stories. I barely believed a single word he said for the rest of the tour - not what you want from a tour advertised as "perfect for history lovers." The cemetery is beautiful at sunset but it's not worth listening to Shannon's drivel.
