• Maiji Shan Caves - At 8:00 am, the guide will pick up guests from their centrally located Lanzhou hotel to catch a 1.5-hour bullet train to Tianshui. Upon arrival, they will be transferred to Maiji Mountain to explore the grottoes.

The Maijishan Grottoes on Maiji Mountain began construction in 384 AD and expanded over the following centuries. These remarkable Buddhist caves were carved into the steep mountain. Despite damage from wind and rain, 194 grottoes remain, featuring over 7,200 clay sculptures and stone carvings from various dynasties.

Visitors will walk along plank paths built into the cliff face to admire the exquisite clay sculptures and statues. Additionally, the breathtaking mountain scenery is another highlight of the visit.

After the tour, guests will be transferred to catch their bullet train back to Lanzhou, and then returned to their Lanzhou hotel, concluding the day trip.
