- The Circassian Heritage Center - Explore the Circassian village of Kfar Kama and delve into the unique and captivating history and heritage of the Circassian community. Enjoy an engaging talk, a short film, and a guided museum tour, followed by a stroll through the village. The cleanliness and tidiness of the village will surely impress you!
- Sea of Galilee - Enjoy a delightful lunch at a restaurant near the Sea of Galilee.
- Yigal Alon Museum - Visit the Yigal Alon Peace Centre, which offers a fascinating portrayal of Israeli society as both Zionist and Jewish, as well as egalitarian and democratic. At the same location, gain insights into the new “Sanhedrin Trail” project. The Sanhedrin was the supreme religious authority in Israel until around 600 CE, comprising 71 sages and serving as the final arbiter of Jewish Law. Additionally, view the 2,000-year-old “Jesus Boat,” an extraordinary wooden fishing vessel retrieved from Lake Kinneret, dated and meticulously restored by the Israel Antiquities Authority.
- Magdala - Discover Magdala, the ancient town where archaeologists have unearthed one of Israel’s oldest synagogues, dating back to the Second Temple period, along with fish ponds mentioned in Josephus’ writings. Contrary to the belief that synagogues emerged only after the Second Temple’s destruction, this site offers a different narrative! Within the synagogue, excavators uncovered the renowned Magdala Stone, featuring the earliest known depiction of the Temple menorah. This, along with ritual baths (mikva’ot), shops, and fish ponds, reveals a vibrant Jewish community deeply intertwined with faith and daily life on the Galilee shores. Magdala is widely acknowledged as the birthplace of Mary Magdalene, one of Jesus’ closest followers. Her name literally translates to “Mary of Magdala.” For Christian visitors, this site provides a profound connection to her story, where faith, healing, and devotion are embedded in the very ground.
- Nabi Shu’ayb - Visit the Tomb of Jethro (Nabi Shu’ayb), revered by the Druze as Moses’ father-in-law and their most sacred pilgrimage site. Additionally, view part of the largest collection of medieval gold coins ever found in Israel, discovered by divers in Caesarea! Please note that shoulders should be covered at this site.
