Idyllic Day on Egmont Key - Took the Egmont Key excursion with bestie visiting from out-of-town! I have lived in St. Pete for years -- and this was my first visit! GORGEOUS Sunday on Egmont with ideal sunny breezy day! Enjoyed sunning, shelling, hiking and sites galore! Total 5 hours with 3-hours on Key! Great transport on Ferry with Captain Zip and Captain Colin -- two funny and knowledgeable hosts! Even got to see some dolphin and local hotspots off Ft Desoto. Will do this again soon with some local friends!! Excellent value for money and perfect for families with children or friends and couples! Tons of privacy and space on the Key!! Bring a cooler with lunch and plenty of sun-screen!!

We had an amazing time. I definitely recommend other people or couples to come explore. - Overall, it was a really great experience. The captain and the captains assistant were very nice and very informational. The gentleman and the lady at the booth were beyond exceptional. On the ferry ride there we got to see dolphins and I’m pretty sure I saw a sea turtle or two. Egmont key was absolutely beautiful. I would definitely go again.

Fun day on the island - This is the second time we’ve visited Egmont Key with our kids. We love this trip. It’s a great opportunity to get out on the water for a couple hours, and then once on the island play on the beach, look for shells, and explore the ruins for a few hours. We even got to see a few dolphins on the way back. Great day all around.

Enjoyable for either... - Enjoyable for either relaxing at the beach or exploring the island. Nearly nothing of the ghost town remains, though, so don’t expect to walk among buildings. There are still signs that say what did stand there.
