- Venetian Tower of Durrës - Erected in the sixth century, it was regarded as one of the most formidable fortresses along the western Adriatic coast. Architectural elements and historical records indicate that the fortress was reconstructed in the first half of the fifteenth century, during the rule of the Republic of Venice over Durrës.

A wonderful and worthwhile tour experience! - This tour was a truly great experience! The itinerary is well thought out, with stops in beautiful places and just the right amount of time in each city, both to learn from the guide and to explore on your own. It felt perfectly balanced.
Our guide made the day even better: funny, entertaining, and very knowledgeable. He answered all questions in excellent English and Italian, helped us connect with locals, and shared the fascinating history and culture of Albania in a very engaging way.
The car was comfortable, and being in a small group made the experience more personal and enjoyable. Between the stunning locations and the exceptional guide, this tour is absolutely worth it!

Highly recommended - The tour was very pleasant, especially thanks to our Bledi guide. He gave us the necessary explanations to understand everything we saw without getting heavy. In the group there were people of different ages and physical conditions and adapted to the rhythm of everyone, meeting the schedule at all times. The visit to Berat is interesting and one of the must-see if you are in Albania. I think it is a good idea to include Durres in the same itinerary. The stop at the lake is not very interesting, but serves to make a break and drink before following the way back. Comfortable van with good air conditioning.

Day trip to Durres and Birat - Excellent tour of Durres and Berat, the only minor issue was that the tour group was split into 2 cars and the guide was in one car and our driver spoke little English so we had to wait for stops to get information of the tour activities. The guide was very good when we got to speak to him though

Great, personable, knowledgeable guide - I would highly recommend taking this tour or any tour through BTours - it was the highlight of my trip. Often when you book a tour, the guide is given a curriculum and does not have local experience - this was the complete opposite. The guide (forgot his name but he owns the company) lived through communism and has much personal knowledge of the country to share. I also really enjoyed that he gave us free time in each city to explore. Also, he was so upbeat and funny - it made the tour even more fun. Last, he was very communicative before and during the tour in terms of where the meeting point was and if we needed to bring any supplies/money. I would highly recommend!

If you’re Italian, this... - If you’re Italian, this is a 5-star cultural delight. If you’re English-speaking, enjoy paying to be background noise.
This tour was sold as English only. What we got instead was “Italian Comedy Hour with Bladey.” Right at the start, he announced there were 5 English speakers (us included) and the rest Italians. From then on, the tour turned into a live podcast… in Italian.
Think The Ghost Whisperer: a spirit talks for two minutes with endless detail, and Jennifer Love Hewitt sums it up as “He says hi.” That’s exactly how our “English” explanations went. The Italians got history, banter, inside jokes. We got: “It was the backside. You couldn’t tell the difference from the backside.” No context. No idea why we were talking about backsides. But the Italians were in stitches, and we were just left blinking.
Ratio of Italian to English? About 70/30, and the 30 was usually filler like: “I’ll check and let you know.” Spoiler: he never did.
By the time we reached Berat, we’d had enough. We ditched the group, explored on our own, and learned more in ten minutes from a Google search than from the entire paid tour. That should tell you everything.
So unless you’re fluent in Italian and like feeling smug that the English speakers are completely lost, save your money. For us, this wasn’t a tour. It was a very expensive silent movie, with occasional bad subtitles.

A nightmare to avoid absolutely. Don't come. - I'm just sorry I didn't read the other reviews carefully enough but what I can say is that this was the worst holiday of my life.
A country of great potential and beauty, completely ruined by the neglect of both people and the state that fails to protect even a UNESCO heritage site!
Wild building exploitation everywhere and totally out of control. Garbage, lots of garbage, in the most beautiful natural places.
We were supposed to stay 3 weeks and go for a nice ride but we got away.
Big disappointment
I highly recommend not to come
