• Tirana - The tour guide will collect guests from Tirana, Durrës, or Golem. Along the journey, interesting stories and fascinating facts about Albania will be shared. A brief stop will be made to enjoy a coffee, stretch, and use the restroom before continuing the trip.
• Ardenica Monastery - Ardenica Monastery is a stunning 13th-century Orthodox complex situated on a hill, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. It is renowned for its well-preserved frescoes, wooden iconostasis, and tranquil atmosphere that embodies centuries of spiritual history. During this brief 20-minute visit, guests can explore the courtyard, admire the architecture, and soak in the peaceful setting before proceeding with the journey.
• Gjirokastra Bazaar - The next stop is Gjirokastra, one of Albania’s most picturesque historic towns and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its stone houses and Ottoman-style allure, it feels like a journey back in time. Guests will explore the old bazaar, filled with vibrant shops, handmade crafts, and numerous photo opportunities.
• Gjirokaster - After the guided tour, there will be free time to explore independently—shop for souvenirs, wander the cobbled streets, enjoy lunch, or visit a museum if desired. IMPORTANT: From November to April, most museums, including the castle, are closed on Mondays.
• Tirana - Finally, the tour will return to Tirana, Durrës, or Golem, concluding a day rich in history, culture, and natural beauty.
