- Tirana County - Upon reaching the winery, guests will receive a warm welcome from the enthusiastic host. This area is renowned for the warm hospitality of local winemakers, who are eager to share their distinctive wines and winemaking methods with visitors. Guests will tour the vineyard, learning about the history of winemaking in Albania and the unique local grape varieties that flourish in the region. The blend of Mediterranean climate and the microclimate of central Albania creates perfect conditions for grape cultivation, making this a truly special location. The region is home to some of the 100 native grape varieties such as: Vlosh, Kallmet, Shesh, Pula, Mjaltëz, and Kryqës. Guests will also have the chance to explore the wine cellar, where the family crafts and ages their wines, before moving to the tasting room. They will have the opportunity to enjoy 3 glasses of distinct wines paired with a delightful selection of local snacks.

Amazing guide and tour! - My daughter and I went on this tour and absolutely loved it! The wine and food were amazing! The winery was so pretty! Our tour guide -Angjelo was fantastic! This was definitely the highlight of our stay in Triana. I would definitely recommend!

Lovely afternoon at a vineyard - Our guide, Altin, was friendly and knowledgeable. The vineyard was quite charming and the wine was excellent (the cheeses were delicious) and the owner was very passionate about his wine and very welcoming. Lovely afternoon not to far from Tirana.

Amazing Wine tasting tour - We don’t normally share reviews but we just had to following our experience to the Vila Shehi Winery for a wine tasting tour. Lovely welcome on arrival to the pick-up point by our driver Altin followed by the journey which included lots of information on Albanian sites and the culture. Altin was excellent and spoke good English and really made the trip a special one. We have been on lots of wine tours including Sonoma, Florence and San Diego and have to say this was the best experience we have had. At the winery we got a tour followed by wine tasting outside in the courtyard and got to try a variety of white, rose and red wines plus an orange wine. The wines were excellent so we bought a bottle of the reserve (our favourite), the rose and a bottle of Raki (we got to try 3 types of Raki too). The wines came with an assortment of cheese, bread and carrots (personal favourite) which went very well with the wine and all ingredients were sourced locally. I can’t share how much we enjoyed this tour enough and would recommend to anyone wanting to go on a wine tasting tour in Tirana. I have no doubt that booking through Choose Balkans and having Altin at the winery helped to make the visit extra special. Thank you Altin and Choose Balkans!

Excellent, locally run wine tour! - This was a fantastic tour with friendly, informative and welcoming guides. We loved the local element of it being a family run vineyard only 30 minutes from Tirana. Would definitely recommend for a fun afternoon out!!

Fully recommend - Driver Toni picked us up from where was convenient for us. He went above and beyond for us. Very accommodating. Very considerate. Very informative. Comfortable journey. Venue was beautiful; very rural with great views. Staff were very kind and generous with food and wine. Wine tasted great. We fully recommend this day.

Great wine tour! - An amazing tour overall. The communication from making the booking through to the end of the tour was great. I would recommend to anyone looking to go on a wine tour not too far out of Tirana.

An amazing tour with an amazing tour guide. - Our guide picked us up straight from our hotel, and from the get go he made us feel welcome and offered us water. The drive was beautiful, very scenic, and Ervis offered us a lot of information about the history, culture, and other local attractions of Tirana. When we arrived at the vineyard, we were treated like family and Ervis made sure to translate for us whenever necessary to ensure that we understood the intricacies of the grapes, processes, and agricultural practices. Overall, this is an experience I would recommend to anyone, including families with children as our host offered a full meal and stimulating conversation. Cannot recommend enough.

Proeverij Kokomani Winery - Beautiful vineyard on top of the hills surrounding Tirana, called Komomani Winery. Lunch was extraordinarily catered for. Our guide Ervis was a winner!! Very nice to do if you want to get out of town. About 45 minutes drive with some traffic jam.

Nice small winery outside Tirana - The excursion worked well. I was alone with a nice and talkative guide and the winery was pitoresque. Driving there was ok and the host at the winery was wonderful.
Be careful when booking though. Viator displayed the currency in PLN (Poland) instead of ALL (Albania). So the excursion was another price than I thought since I did not notice the wrong currency when booking...
