Core of Pridnestrovie with Anton - Do you just want to look at old Soviet relics, or truly experience something more? Anton takes you on a journey through time - into the past and future of a “country that doesn’t exist,” a place said to have neither past nor future. It was one of the most fascinating adventures I’ve ever had. I recommend it 100%, and who knows - maybe I’ll return myself one day. To jedno z najbardziej niezwykłych doświadczeń mojego życia. Polecam w 100%, a kto wie - może sam jeszcze tam wrócę.

Full immersion in Tiraspol and Bender and more! - We had a wonderful day with Anton in this great region! He went above and beyond offering a full immersion in a poorly understood area. We drove, we walked, we drank coffee, we are at a Soviet Cafe, we talked to elderly people about the good old CCCP, we talked to young people about the future here. We pet stray dogs and cats, posed with Lenin, ate ice cream, learned who "Sherif" is, visited an antique shop, photographed houses and cars and monuments and fortresses and took the most exceptional ferry ride. We were quizzed and intellectually stimulated. Anton is a guide and artist as well. Thanks Anton.

Through Time’s Hidden Door🚪 - Some journeys are not just about places—they are about time itself. Traveling with Anton to Pridnestrovie was like stepping through a secret portal, into a world where the echoes of the USSR still linger in the streets, buildings, and hearts of the people. It wasn’t just a tour—it was a vivid, breathing story, unfolding with every step we took. Anton is not just a guide, he is a storyteller, a bridge between past and present. With his thoughtful selection of sights, he doesn’t simply show you monuments or streets—he brings them to life, weaving history, politics, and human stories into a rich tapestry that speaks both to your emotions and your mind. He invites you to feel the nostalgia, the contradictions, the resilience—while also encouraging reflection and critical thought. His passion is contagious, his knowledge profound, and his ability to present multiple perspectives makes this experience unforgettable. This was, without a doubt, one of the most unique and authentic tours I’ve ever taken—an adventure that made me see the world through new eyes. If you’re ready to step off the beaten path and into a different reality, this is the tour for you. Highly recommended.

A tour of Pridnestrovie - We had the chance to visit Pridnestrovie with Anton as our guide, and it turned out to be one of the most amazing travel experiences I’ve ever had. Anton doesn’t just show you the sights - as a local, he helps you really understand the place. He gave us a more real perspective on life in Pridnestrovie - far beyond what you might read online. We talked to locals, visited places off the beaten path. What made the tour especially memorable was how well it was tailored to our interests. Anton created space for real conversations and questions, myth debunking, which made the tour feel more like a meaningful exchange than just sightseeing. If you’re curious about Pridnestrovie and want more than just surface-level impressions, I absolutely recommend a tour with Anton.

Empathize Communism - This is one of the best experiences that I didn't expected. You walked through the city, asking to the fellow pridnestrovians how was life before, and you get a full feeling for the people who are still "stuck" the past, but the future was never known by their own people trapped in a twisted reality.

A tour of Prednistrovie (Transnistria) - Very informative tour that was tailored to us. An experience that really opened my eyes to the history and life of those in Prednistrovie. If you want to understand more about life there, this is an excellent tour for you. You will meet real people, have conversations with those who have lived throughout the USSR to now and the hardships that people now face. You will also see some fascinating sites and monuments. This (non?) country is a must visit. Extremely friendly, super clean and a great opportunity to expand your knowledge. Please note, we felt extremely safe the entire time, we met lots of people who were very friendly. I learned so much about the USSR and people’s reminiscence of those “simpler times with order and security”.

Anton has been a great... - Anton has been a great and funny guy. He is very knowledgeable (and his English is very good). What I appreciated most is that he isn't didactic when explaining things and instead stimulates your thinking to help you understand the place. I also liked that the focus was mostly on the present and what it means to live in an unrecognised country, rather than just on its past.

Epic Day in an Alternate Reality - Epic Day in an Alternate Reality – Unforgettable Journey with Anton in Transnistria I travel quite a lot, but this day truly stood out as something extraordinary. I visited Transnistria with my son, and our guide Anton Dendemarchenko gave us an absolutely unforgettable experience. It felt like stepping into a different reality – fascinating, surreal, and deeply engaging. Anton is not only a knowledgeable and passionate guide, but also a talented artist who brings the stories of the region to life. Everything was perfectly organized. His friend Dima picked us up in the morning from Chișinău and drove us back in the evening, making the entire trip smooth and worry-free. Crossing the Transnistrian border took only about 5 minutes and was surprisingly easy – no questions asked, no delays. If I get the chance, I will definitely return to spend more time exploring with Anton. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something real, raw, and truly unique!

Unfortunately EN slightly disappointing trip - When you advertise on the viator for THE tour by writing that you “will dive into THE sometimes dark history” and that you will learn to know THE “history behind the sights”, you come by on the tour, then I have been caught up with the expectation that history is of course an important part of the tour. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The guide, Anton, was very little voted for discussing history and other “dark sides of the Soviet era. This was under the pretext that history had nothing to do with his present and that he lived in a country not recognized as a country (this was his theme for the day). However, the interest in discussing history was there anyway - so only when it came to glorifying the Soviet era. His having DE bypass the “sensitive” conversation topics about Soviet times and Transnistria became quite annoying at the end of the day. And at several of the sightseeing venues (e.g. Bender Fortress) we were set off to do our own sightseeing in the group. That is, we walked around on our own and read on signs. So no further in-depth or explanation of the story behind, as (again) the description here on viator indicates that I should have gotten. I have paid to get EN guide. So, EN slightly disappointing trip that was not worth the money, DA it did not meet the expectations or the tour description here on Viator.
