Magical House and Gardens - We enjoyed the whole experience the tours of both places. All the information was so informative. The gardens were my favourite. Lunch was just ok. Would opt out of the lunch and just buy something on the go and wander around Tivoli next time.

A remakable step back in time at two beautiful locations - A fantastic day away from the crowds in Rome for those who appreciate architecture and gardens. Our guide for the day was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. The coach and driver were excellent. We found the guided tour added greatly to our enjoyment of Hadrian's Villa, but we opted to to explore the Villa D'Este on our own, so we could spend more time in the glorious gardens. Both places were fascinating and compliment each other well. Neither villa offers much in the way of refreshments, but Tivoli has plenty of restaurant options for lunch.

Beautiful day and incredible sights - The whole experience was FANTASTIC and we saw so many beautiful sights. Even with Rome experiencing transport strikes on the day, our guide and driver were extremely professional and got us all back safely

Need to walk up and down stairs - Lots of steps. If you cannot walk up and down steps, you will miss views. Unfortunately Fountains were not working, but they told us after reserving.

Disappointing that the... - Disappointing that the fountains were not functioning, diminishes the trip significantly. Frustrating also that it is noted as a walking tour but people sign up who struggle to walk.

A long but interesting day. - This Viator bus trip was probably the easiest way to see both these places if you don’t have a car and they were both interesting places, with both requiring a lot of walking. The Tivoli gardens were especially beautiful. However, looking at the scenery on the way there and back was spoilt by dirty bus windows. The guide was very knowledgeable but was sometimes difficult to understand due to her accent. And she talked non stop. However, both the bus driver and the guide went out of their way to navigate a way back into Rome on a day when the train system had shut down and many streets in Rome were blocked because of the Free Palestine protest marches.

Dry Fountains - We were not informed that the fountains were not running at the Villa D’Este. Would not have booked it if we knew.

The booking company for this robbed me and Viator screwed me over refusing to refund - The booking company messages me 23 hours before to say that there were problems with villa deste. I ask for clarification as to what that entailed; no response. I ask Viator for refund since I had no response and they changed the booking outside the cancellation window; Viator is telling me no. So basically I was completely duped. I really wanted to see Tivoli too, I will never use Viator again.
