• Tlacolula - Departing from the meeting point in the heart of Oaxaca City, the journey will take us along the mezcal route to the town of Tlacolula. Here, we will visit Casa Q Distillery for some refreshing beverages before heading to the town center.
• Capilla del Señor de Tlacolula - After enjoying drinks at Casa Q Distillery, we will stroll to the town center and walk 300 meters to reach the Chapel of the Lord of Tlacolula. This majestic 16th-century church offers a beautiful setting for photography.
• Mercado Tlacolula - Following the church tour, we will walk 50 meters to the market, famous for its traditional smoke aisle. Here, you can experience grilling meats like tasajo and chorizo with onions and water chilies. While the meats are grilling, explore other market areas, including the aisle of exquisite bread and craft stalls from nearby communities.
• Tlacolula - After completing the market tour, we will return to Casa Q Distillery. Here, enjoy a group gathering with the delicious food you grilled at the market, along with unlimited mezcal and refreshing drinks. The master mezcalero will explain the mezcal-making process, offering tastings of exclusive mezcals and rare distillates. Concluding the tour, participate in a guided tasting led by the master mezcalero, sampling a variety of mezcals and distillates crafted at the distillery. This exquisite tasting includes a chance to try a surprise distillate, unique in the world. After the tasting, continue enjoying the mezcal or distillate you preferred. We will then safely return to the meeting point in the center of Oaxaca City.
