The Steam Locomotive at Jangdan Station, riddled with 1,020 bullet holes resembling a honeycomb, and the torn and crumpled exterior of the firebox, stands as a painful reminder of the conflict between compatriots.

Magbaedan Altar, located opposite Imjingak, is renowned as a place where North Koreans perform ancestral rites by bowing towards their hometown every New Year’s Day and Thanksgiving Day.

• DMZ - Watching a video about the Korean War at the DMZ theater and visiting the DMZ exhibition hall to view relics and records related to the Korean War and gain general information about the DMZ.
• Dora Observatory - Visiting the observatory that offers scenic views across the Demilitarized Zone, including North Korean territory, through binoculars.

Observe the Propaganda Village in the North, the Jamming Tower that blocks signals from South Korea, the Gaesung Industrial Complex, and more.

Examine the evidence that this tunnel was intended for an invasion of the South:

1. The tunnel slopes approximately 0.003 degrees towards the North, causing water to drain in that direction.
2. Dynamite holes in the walls, meant to explode base rock, face South.
3. Although coal was never found in this area, traces were left on the rock walls to disguise the tunnel as an abandoned coal mine.

Pick up the bus from the pickup points in close proximity to your hotel and proceed to the South-North Korean border. It takes approximately one hour and a half to reach Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri-Park, where you can witness the lasting impact of the Korean War.

Embark on the journey through the park’s exhibits, which feature the Bridge of Freedom, Mangbaedan Memorial Alatar, and Steam Locomotive at Jangdan station. Then, explore the DMZ, Third Tunnel and Dora Observatory.

Lastly, visit the War Memorial of Korea and look into the records and exhibits related to Korea’s long history and the Korean War. Throughout the tour, our knowledgeable guide will provide guidance on all aspects of the trip’s preparation.
