- Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway - The Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway (カチカチロープウェイ) is situated next to Lake Kawaguchiko and ascends to the peak of Mt Tenjo. From the summit, enjoy a breathtaking view of Mt Fuji, Lake Kawaguchiko, and the surrounding landscape.
- Chureito Pagoda - Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔) is part of the Arakurayama Sengen Shrine in Fujiyoshida City and is the most popular spot for photographing Mt Fuji. The iconic view of Mt Fuji, the five-story red pagoda, and cherry blossoms is typically visible in early to mid-April.
During Cherry Blossom season, be prepared for extended wait times to view Mount Fuji and the Pagoda. In recent years, visitors have waited over an hour for the view, with viewing time limited to about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) is a traditional Japanese village near the Fuji Five Lake area. The village features 8 ponds formed from the spring water of Mt Fuji’s snowmelt.
- Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine - Known as Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine or officially Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja (北口本宮冨士浅間神社), this Shinto shrine is located on the north side of Mt Fuji between Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka. The shrine is beautifully surrounded by lush nature.
- Narusawa Ice Cave - Narusawa Ice Cave (鳴沢氷穴) is a 153m lava cave in the Aokigahara Forest. Visitors can explore the cave, which features ice pillars and walls visible year-round.
- Lake Kawaguchiko - This is one of the most renowned and frequently visited lakes at the base of Mount Fuji! With views of Mount Fuji from the lake’s eastern end, it is a stunning lake embraced by nature.
The finest views of Mount Fuji can be admired from the lake’s northern shores, especially during the cherry blossom season in mid-April and the autumn colors in early November. A lovely spot for cherry blossoms is the lakeside promenade near the Kawaguchiko Music Forest, while photographers will appreciate the “Momiji Tunnel” for autumn colors, a maple tree-lined road section further west.
- Lake Yamanaka - Lake Yamanakako is the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes.
There are excellent views of Mount Fuji from around the lake, particularly from its less developed northern shore. This lake is also known for swan boat rides (Swan boat rides are not included in the tour but make for great photos from the shore!).
