This exclusive tour offers private transportation to the Nevado de Toluca, the fourth tallest mountain in Mexico, situated nearly three hours from Mexico City. Unique for its extinct volcanic crater housing lagoons, this tour provides an opportunity to learn more about this fascinating mountain.
The tour reaches a maximum altitude of 4,400 meters above sea level. From the crater, enjoy stunning views of the mountain, surrounding landscapes, and the lagoons known as the “Lagoon of the Sun” and “Lagoon of the Moon.” This area held sacred significance in pre-Hispanic times.
The hike is generally easy, though some ascents, such as the “Humboldt” peak, add a bit of challenge. From here, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the lagoons and, on clear days, the second and third highest mountains in the distance.
