Begin an extraordinary Buffalo Safari with a knowledgeable guide, seeking the American Bison in the remote Henry Mountains, the last mountain range to be charted in the lower 48 contiguous states. This area is home to one of only three free-roaming and genetically purebred bison herds on public lands in the United States.

The safari starts in Torrey, Utah, where participants will drive their own vehicles, following the guide to the trailhead, a journey of 30 minutes. Upon reaching the trailhead, guests will join the guide in our exceptional UTVs.

The adventure leads to the high altitudes of the rugged and once “unknown mountains.” Expect extensive hiking along ridgelines with elevations ranging from 9,000 to over 11,000 feet. Our experienced guides provide binoculars for each participant as we scan the hillsides, with views of Capitol Reef National Park to the West and Canyonlands National Park to the East.
