- Kurazukuri no Machinami / Warehouse District - Take a 15-minute walk to your next stop, Kawagoe’s ‘Old Town’. This area is the heart and center of Kawagoe. You will have a guided tour of the ‘Old Town’ and its landmarks. Following the tour, enjoy a lunch break here with a variety of drinks and foods available!
- Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine - Next, visit one of Kawagoe’s most famous and beautiful shrines! Known for its matchmaking powers, many visit to pray for good fortune in love and relationships. Your guide will provide a tour of the Shrine complex, highlighting its unique features and history! You’ll have the chance to fish for your fortune, walk through a stunning ‘Ema’ tunnel (wooden fortune plaques), and stroll around 600-year-old sacred trees believed to offer spiritual enlightenment! The serene Shingashi river, home to Koi Carp, flows just behind the shrine, and in Spring, it is adorned with Cherry Blossoms!
- Kawagoe Castle Naka no Mon Remain - The final stop is the remains of Kawagoe’s flatland castle. The structure and its rooms are beautifully preserved. Walk through the halls, step back in time, and imagine life during the Edo period when the Shogun (Samurai) were in power. You can also collect a castle stamp as a complimentary souvenir of your visit!
- Kurazukuri no Machinami / Warehouse District - Before departing Kawagoe, enjoy some free time to explore any remaining attractions, shop, take photos, and pick up any final souvenirs before regrouping to walk to Kawagoeshi train station. The Kawagoe City Museum and Kawagoe Matsuri Museum are excellent attractions to visit in addition to the tour highlights.
