The picturesque journey from Cape Town to Aquila Game Reserve takes travelers through the lush, tropical fruit-growing region of Ceres. This valley, named after the Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility, is celebrated for its breathtaking beauty and extensive fruit plantations.

2-hour game drive

Upon arrival at Inverdoorn, guests are greeted with welcome drinks before boarding an open safari vehicle for a 2-hour safari adventure with a professional ranger. The 10,000-hectare reserve is home to the Big Five and a variety of animals that have adapted well to the semi-arid environment of the Little Karoo.

Aquila has successfully reintroduced wildlife species to the area after a long absence, including many rescued elephants and lions, as well as cheetahs.

Guests will return to the lodge for a buffet-style lunch and enjoy a few hours of relaxation by the swimming pool or a leisurely stroll through the lush garden. Departure from Aquila Game Reserve is at 3:00 pm, followed by a scenic drive back to Cape Town.
