Great tour for everyone in your family. - The tour experience was great, from the hotel pick up, large well stocked buffet, the experienced ranger/driver was both incredibly knowledgeable and very funny (Max)!! Highly recommended

Superb Short Visit - Our safari guide for the day was very informative, professional and kind. He also handled the vehicle proficiently. Everyone at Aquila were so hospitable and welcoming, including the animals at the reserve...the rhinos only showed us the top of their heads, but that's okay. We want to be back at the reserve for a longer stay.

Excellent! - Although the reservation is a bit away from Cape Town, I found the tour very cool for those who do not have the opportunity to visit other reservations. Our driver was polite and very friendly, the safari was beautiful (especially for me, who had never seen any of the animals close by) The food also found a little weak, it is buffet style. They offer welcome drinks and also drinks before the end of the tour. For kids I found wonderful.

Good intro to Safari experience - Good introduction to a safari experience. Buffet very good, drive excellent - it is an enclosed reserve so not full safari experience but nonetheless saw the everything we expected to see.

A good day - Everything was good: the driver (Rudy), the reserve, the guide, the lunch. I really appreciated that the drive was quiet. At the reserve, the elephants were my favorites, and enclosed lions are always a disappointment as they mainly sleep.

This was my first Safari, I had a good experience - This was my first Safari ride, although it turned out to be a game reserve, but for me it was a good experience. I was with a group of friends as part of an organized trip, we were welcomed with soft drinks or wine. The jeep tour/ride lasted for around 2 hours, with a brief rest stop on the way. The jeep driver/guide was friendly and humorous. I had the chance to see 4 of the big 5. The jeep ride however was very bumpy and dusty, since it's wild life with a rugged terrain, I wore sunglasses and a mask to shield my eyes and nose/mouth from the dust. In my opinion such a tour/ride is not recommended for senior people, or pregnant women, or people with health issues. After the tour/ride I had lunch at the Aquila dinning area, lunch was included as part of the booking, the buffet had a good variety of foods and desserts which were tasty, the staff were courteous, however flies were hovering around us so I kept shooing them away from my food. There are clean rest rooms near the dinning area. There's a small outdoor swimming pool onsite at the Aquila near the dinning area, where people can either swim or just recline. There's a souvenir shop at the exit area, it was pricey and I personally did not buy anything, but my friends did. The Aquila was not crowded during my tour.

A potted safari - The trip from Cape Town and back takes four hours. A long time for a 2.5 hour game experience. Transport excellent; service excellent; hotel is a lovely location; inch goof; guide very helpful and knowledgeable. It's not real - it's an artificially created experience like a big version of a UK safari park. If you just want to see the animals without experiencing a real safari then this is it.

Tour was great but driver very rude - The actual safari experience was great. The guide josh was very informative and knowledgeable and stopped for lots of photo opportunities. We were lucky enough to see most of the big 5, minus the leopard which is more nocturnal.. This tour is operated by Cullinan Guided Journeys so this is where i am reducing the stars. Our driver rudi was extremely rude, he barely spoke on the 2hr journey there or the 2hr journey back. His driving was very erratic as well and he would get very close to the cars. I know he was not a tour guide, but a friendly driver makes all the difference considering it was a 4 hr journey. I would overall say aquila is a great day out, but would consider booking directly on Aquilas website because they offwr the same package (minus the private transportation) and sort out a private transfer yourself because of our experience with the driver of Cullinan guided tours. Alternatively look for an alternative provider who offers this.

Bad. - We went to spend the day there and does not pay.It is very far, so leave early from Cape Town, reason this tour is very expensive. Expectations for the saffari were high, but soon turned into disappointment. The area is very small. The saffari itself lasts 2h.I saw the animals. One cannot not see there in a situation of captivity. They charge horrors to show nothing.
